Real, Relatable and Entertaining ... FIVE STARS*****Whenever a celebrity comes out with a book about their life you wonder how much are they really going to share. These are people that live off their public persona, so they have to be very carful at how much and what kind of stuff they can divulge from their personal life, because those details can very well make or break their career. That's why I loved this book so much because Jessica Simpson is so brave, so honest, and so bold telling her story. She shares it all, and she makes her fans/readers part of the story. She wrote it in a way that it feels as if we are all visiting, and going back to all those moments in her life right along with her as she tells her story. The writing style is very candid, and sincere; really felt like she was putting her whole heart into this book.I was a teenager growing up when Newlyweds was on; I was obsessed with that whole Britney, Christina Aguilera, 98 Degrees, N'Sync Era. Then when Jessica and Nick's show aired OMG, they became the it couple of the 2000's. I remember wanting to be just like Jessica, even in her ditzy blond moments, she was so funny and so happy and highly inspirational. She had it all, beautiful home, gorgeous clothes and handbags, and the most romantic and handsome husband of all times. So I made it a point to follow her career. I watched the show, all her movies, any TV specials, and I would sing her sons (badly), I also always loved and tried to imitate her fashion style. To read this book was like coming full circle into learning about the idol I once followed. Now I'm older and a mother myself, so I wanted to read the truth about her life, her struggles. We all know what has been said about Jessica Simpson in the TV and the magazines but I wanted to learn her story from her own words, and let me tell you she did not disappoint. The truth is she is just like any woman, any mother, any daughter, any friend. Her problems and struggles are mostly the same as any of ours are, the only difference is that she has paparazzi following her, and sharing her every moment in pictures and that perhaps she has way better and way nicer clothes and accessories than most of us. But she too had to fight for her marriage, and fight about money, and deal with toxic relationships, and self loathe and insecurities. Say what you want about Jessica Simpson but she really is an Open Book. She puts her heart and soul into everything she does, and just like I was when I was a teenager, I continue to be inspired by her. This book was super entertaining, inspiring and even a little heartbreaking. No matter what happens in her life, or what people say about her, I am sure that Jessica Simpson will continue to sing, thrive, and will always encourage and motivate others to be the best version of themselves. Truly fantastic book.
